Walking trails for nature loving folks, backpacker types and backcountry trail crew workers.
More than 6 miles walkable now, but needing some improvements, with many more miles to be cleared this spring.
Trail Crew workers can pitch their tent in one of several sites on TKi Land for FREE, with a bit of time helping T.
Tim made this video while working on Yosemite trails 2011, in honor of all trailworkers, past, present and future.
I offer guided walks on our trails, or you may guide yourself to the several sites where you can just simply be with the natural environment.
Beautiful old trees amidst a healthy forest await your presence.
Walk into the bordering USFS roadless area, with an old mine, springs, beautiful creek and family of bears.

At TKiLand, my intentions are to share with others, the teachings given freely by Nature.

For professional "ologists" of a sort within the natural scientific community, or just a person with a deep respect for Mother Nature, as I am.
Contact me if you're interested in spending some time here to deepen your knowledge of the natural world.
TKiLand is...
A place of simple, peaceful living, in close relationship with the 4 elements.
Earth, air, water and fire.
Walking the many hillside terrace trails,
to the sound of breeze through the trees, living peacefully, more directly with earth and spirit.
My intentions are to share these Walking paths with others who know the rewards of a good walk immersed in nature.
I, (T) and dog partner of 10 years, Ki (kee), live by ourselves on the semi-remote land on a mountainside in the far north of California, which I call TKi Land. Though still a cosmic traveler, I am no longer a traveling van man, as I've been since 2006. Spirit has delivered me here, to be caretaker and guardian of this land. No more wandering the highways to find remote areas, as home here is definitely on the wild side of life.!!
There is much work to do this summer, to autumn, preparing for winter, with my desire for some assistance from a cool person, or two, or three...
Tree loving natural folk, trailworkers or trail wanderers, remote living, wilderness, backpackpacker types, healthy, strong, calm and kind.
My vision is to have select, sacred individuals, who are in alignment and agreement with certain guidelines that I have, to be creative contributors to TKiLand, while living here for a few days or much more if there is harmony in your desire. You will be creating experimental, "functional art" structures, offering cozy shelter for earth lovers to visit, and for your own dwelling if you're in for the long term.
Leaving behind oneself, a trail of useful beauty, may be our best legacy...
Intentions and actions are to be in harmony with the moment of the day. To do what needs to be done with appropriate timing for the situation. No rush, never late, always present.
I am already working on a 20'x20' natural material structure, for the first functional art building, made with most materials all found on-site. Rocks, dirt, wood from the land, tools and metal from town. The wood logs and other exposed wood will be covered with non burnable clay. The walls are rock filled wire mesh, and roof will be of metal, fire resistant, and with a built in water catch-storage system.
There are several secluded hillside spots for tent living and to work on small, earth bermed living structures, which will be available to create, by and for select individuals. These will occur slowly by me, and/or when the right individual arrives... Kind folks who like working with earth materials preferred... You dig..? LOL..!
Living on TKiLand is for hearty and hardy individuals only, that's T and Ki. There's a 1/2 mile uphill walk to get to camp, and it's beautiful every step of the way. I've backpacked and pulled everything here to build our camp, keeping us well stocked with food and other supplies. It is walk in only by my preference, and the narrow, steep, rocky road. A four wheel drive vehicle could be used for an emergency, but don't rely on that...
Call it off grid, remote homestead type living, or whatever. It's about living more directly connected to my/our own existence, and to the planet Earth in general. From making the hillside terraces for food growing plants, saving melted snow and catching rain in storage containers and ponds I made, to watering and watching them all grow. I participate with natural elements and I am humbly instructed from their teachings...
